I'll probably be looking to sell my current MY00 GC8 daily driver, get an Sti RA and modify it appropriately for dedicated motorsport events such as next year's season of Motorkhanas, some light rallying and the odd track day (it'll be a B-Reg only).

If there's anyone here who has one orknows who's selling one etc (for use on road or b-reg only), please let me know. The condition of the car isn't overly important right now as I know they're hard enough to get as it is.

mmm. I sence a slight biast from you, GX-REX haha. Nah I am looking for something that's reasonably 'there' already. I think the mega-project car would come later in life when I've got other priorities straight and can throw a lot of money at it. Coz i know a GX would turn into that if I bought it.

As it is, thanks for the recommendations Kym and Benny (pretty sure it is?) and Stacey for the PM. I'll either be looking at something like a $10k JWS-condition car and doing it up a bit, or a 'pretty much there' one like Stace has told me about.

I'm looking at around $25k. that would be either straight-up for a road-legal one OR spend less on a not-so-hot b-reg one and do it up to the value of $25k total (those are funds as of now... 6 months is obviously a different story etc).

I think my goal is to have a track and/or light rally car which would be safe and competetive, and next year really start participating in track days, competitions, motorkanahs, the odd rally event and all other things in between (eg the recent hill climb training day) and pushing myself and the car harder each time. This would mean I plan to strip the interior and nonessential weight, fit a full welded cage with 4/5/6 point harnesses etc etc.

That's the plan. those are the purchas-price funds. cheers guys for input

If thats your plan spend a little longer looking for a car that already has a cage and a few other things. This will save you massive amounts of money. Or buy my wagon and get a cage put in it.

Also, I believe Ken has already sold his car to someone on here.
