I`m paininting up some rims, have the base coat already just seeing if anyone has ~1ltr of clear they want to get rid of or, if anyone knows where I can buy at a reasonable price that would also work

One place I have always used in premier paints in Malaga. Good price and decent quality. Never go there for a colour match though as thats shit. If you wanted to go cheap, you can put acrylic clear over 2 pack base coat. Second last coat, let it dry for a good half hour or more, give it a 1200 to flatten it off, and then last coat of clear thin it down heaps more and give a nice wet coat. Looks good off gun, but wont have the scratch resistance of 2k Last edited by GX-REX; 20-10-2009 at 10:11 PM. |

Yeah I`m looking for a reasonable price...I`ll try Premier...
Wheels are being 2k metalic pearled and baked so skimping on the clear is not the desired option(if i was doing that I`d just use acrylic all round from the start...and do it on the back lawn !).. Pretty sure you can`t get pressure pack 2k(upol etc is all acrylic).....its a catalyst system so once mixed must be used quickly. |
