managed to get hold of one from a wreckers in maddington, but i still have the same problem!! basically the little piston thing moves in and out really slow i'm pretty sure this is whats causing my car to stall when i stop the car quickly, as the iacv can't adjust itself quick enough. do you think i just bought another one with the exact same problem?

900? Fark you serious ? Mine needs replacing. Some morning the revs will start at 1200 then just die all the way to 100 lol.
How much was yours from a wreckers?

Can you just buy the rubber tip at the end. I've checked mine and the rubber tip that makes the seal is well aged. This could be part of the issue perhaps...

But 900 from Subie is a rip off. There must be an after market supplier for these.

EDIT: AKA Idle Speed Control Valve. A quick search on the interweb will get you cheaper prices than the stealerships.

yeh its crazy hey, for such a small part too, i paid $150 from the wreckers but unfortunately as i stated i believe it has the same defect, i don't know what to do now, do i risk it and try the wreckers again, i definately don't have the $900 to buy from subaru stealership. i tried repco for an aftermarket one they said they don't sell them, and 'Bob' i highly doubt you could just buy the rubber tip,
