Anyone know of a electrician that installs 2 x RCD's at a reasonable price?

Cheapest i've found is $350 for 2 RCD's, but the guy is booked out for a month.

FYI- lads i found KH Signature electrical in kewdale who will do 2 x RCD's for 315 (was 350 but they have 10% off for first time customers - ph: 0409 725 976

that price you got quoted is good. hate doing old houses as you have to change cables ect... just curious as to how much other sparkies here charge? i have heard as much as $600 for two...

Mind you i phoned up a few places and the prices varied for 2 RCD installations. Quotes i got were:

315 (with 10% discount) normally 350
others were 350, 420, 440. one had a call out fee of $90 ontop

What would be a good price for termination of 4 powerpoints (cable already run with excess sitting in roof just waiting for temrination) ? One to be on its own dedicated circuit breaker?

do you have 2 hardwired smoke detectors also?

they charge more if your board is asbestos

if there are faults they charge $80 per hour to find and fix,

with the smoke detectors its not mandatory to have a fixed wire detector (athough most companies would lead you to believe).
you only need a fixed battery one (10 year lithium battery smoke detector) as long as the battery can not be removed its compliant to australian standards.

quote i got was $315 for 2x RCD's, $100 for fixed smoke detector (i opted to use 10year fixed battery lithium battery detector which was far cheaper $50 each from bunnings, two minute job to fit).

Best deal for fitting the RCD in Perth was a guy from Safety Switch who installed the RCD for $130 each and got rid of the old fuses, reckons best to get rid of them altogether.
