ive gone with this option. by the time i go get a pair of dodgy 2nd hand coilovers, install em and then wheel align ill be spending more then a brand new pair of std's installed, i shopped around few suspension joints just to compare with evolution-r. other f*cks are charging well into the 2k mark all day long. props to mao and evo-r!

For std's? Or other brands?

I doubt it.

1. evo r is the aus distributor for std's, so I suspect they are the only WA stockist

2. cant whinge about being quoted 2k for coilovers if they are stuff like teins etc.

well into the 2k range was pedders which said they use there own brand so im more then happy going to Mao and getting a pair of STD's that ive heard nothing but good feedback about

I have no doubts you are - but like I said you cant be upset at being quoted 2k for a 2k coilover just because it isnt in your budget.

i see what your saying (especially in respect to tein etc) but my point was in comparison to i.e. pedders who are charging well into the 2k bracket that cbf talkign over the fone with responses like "hmm yer should have em for wrx they're pretty common car?" compared to Evo-R who kno exactly what your talking about and explain happily into detail about there coilovers that P-Rex have great feedback on which is nearly half the price, which one are you gonna choose? thats all im saying, far different from winging. Cool

Personally, rather set the car on fire than fit pedders.
