haha trust me, I want this spoiler on.. but I can't justify to myself (and the minister of finance and recreation) why I should spend $900 doing it. $500 maybe at a stretch...
Get receipt stating $500 for the works and leave the other few hundred off and pay in cash :D

ImPreSiV 15-02-2012 01:25 PM

I still have to justify it to myself Tony

STI325V6 15-02-2012 01:31 PM

Just paint it black, buy cans from Autopro or the like. Would be something different!!

ImPreSiV 15-02-2012 01:32 PM

that doesn't solve the problem of putting it on the car does it Gav? I can carbon wrap it if I really wanted to. I have a sheet of it, and I know Gav would do a great job... thought about getting the boot carbon wrapped too, so it wouldn't require repainting, but then I'd have to wrap the bonnet too, and it would all cost more than painting the bootlid in the first place!

Lots and lots and LOTS of sikaflex :p

Have you checked how many holes line up with the new spoiler?

It may work if you want to get it done on the cheap, yes I know its dodgy.

I'll have to dig up my photos, but I know the middle 8 holes don't.
Pretty sure that only two of the stock holes line up (one on each side).

Carbon wrap bootlid and spoiler? Holes covered and no need to paint! :p

teejay 15-02-2012 02:20 PM

Doing bootlid and spoiler is probably around 500 bucks. Then the roof will need doing so it doesnt look homus.

And bonnet

1k later...
