Default Cheap ECU System to suit (97)GC8 STi

Hi all,

Trying to chase a cheap ECU system suitable to use on my '97 STi.
A new turbo back exhaust has been installed, and I plan on doing a TMIC & Intake upgrade and wouldn't mind an Atmospheric BOV for pure wank-factor.
I've read a bit about mafless tuning also which sounds like a goer.

From reading various threads it seems stock GC8 ECU's can not be reflashed, I understand if I go ahead with those proposed modifications then it's pretty much essential to do a re-tune. However I can't afford the Apexi/Motec/Autronic systems.
If anyone's got anything suitable going please PM me

Cheers
Josh

Power fc is probably your cheapest option. Could pick one up second hand for around 600-700 without a controller.

I have read that, however with new exhaust, TMIC, intake and atmo bov it will surely need a re-tune?

The car is still in the workshop at the moment, so next time I'm in I will have a look.
I'm embarrassed to say, no- no idea :/

(also what does it mean if the ECU does have the three yellow plugs?)

Probably, & it won't be a cheap lesson learned but I guess I'll blame it on watching The Fast & Furious movies as a kid...
