No, that would be too nice an excuse.

Seriously, you cannot give one justifiable excuse to fit an atmo bov.

I'm embarrassed to say, no- no idea :/

(also what does it mean if the ECU does have the three yellow plugs?)
I am running a Jap three plug V3 sti ecu & have a v3 power fc 3 plug

I would not say my shitter is slow with a v3 ecu fitted. as others have stated above the V3 stock ecu is very good & you will be hard pressed to better it.
The ecu is on the passengers side floor & under a plate. You need the numbers from the case to see what you have. as many subarus have had parts swapped you need to confirm what you have fitted.

As has been said, STI ecu is the way to go. Mine has a 3" hks tbe and although I have yet to "drive" it, when I got it started for the first time in over 2 years it started easy and idled smooth.
As for the bov, it's a personal preferance. Mine has an atmo bov and I will be removing it. My last car had one on the motor when I put it in and other than making noise, all it did was make me use a bunch more fuel.

What Seagull said, stock V3 STI ECU with those mods will see a high 12 and great fuel economy, on a country run not taking it easy I got 732kl from mine before re filling with a bit less than 3L left in the tank, seriously good ECU and no dyno costs every time you do a minor mod.

Also the stock BOV sounds good through the standard air box with a cheap home made in guard CAI.

Sounds like stock is the way to go then
Seagull- the way I read that, is your running the stock ECU with a power fc (is that a piggy-back setup?)
Just as long as I don't upset the car by running better TMIC(process west or 04 STi), intake(probably a Perrin setup) & the wanky bov...with the stock ECU
