The lip is gone, had previous damage that was amplified and sadly snapped in half

Was thinking about the washers but then they'd have to be on pretty darn tight or else they'd just slip back through the gap

I'll have to have a look and suss it all out

Unsure what they're called but when using screws you could source something like the plate here whilst using washers to bridge the gap.



Alternately 8mm bolt/nut combination with washers will also work.
