Default WRX/STI track car

Hi all,

A mate and I are on the look out for a road rego’d WRX/STI locally that we can use for some fun on track. Anything from a GC8 to an 05 STI really, WRX is fine although would prefer if it has mainly STI running gear.

I’ve been through Carsales, Gumtree and my105 so hoping there might be someone who hasn’t advertised their car but would be willing to sell.

Thanks.

Ive got a 95 RA that i've been contemplating selling. (Riggs old one if you ever saw it)
It's not the prettiest thing going but. Is dark blue with white alloy bonnet and white rear bumper. Has 99/00 front end and full 99/00 wiring loom. Its got a 207 with a VF30 (I think), Autronic ECU. Fully stripped including sound deadener. No cage but. Still have all the interior parts. GC STi seats. Flocked dash. Still got a 5 speed, but have a full 6 speed conversion that was going to go in it that i'd also sell.
Is regoed, but not roadworthy. Needs headlights and grille put back on it. It's an import so has some exceptions to ADR's allowed as stated on rego papers.
Needs some stuff like brakes and clutch bled, power steering is playing up, but i have a pump to swap. It drives though, I can move it around my block.
Cheapo coilovers, 4 pot subaru brakes.
Had plans for it, but just have too much other stuff going on including another GC that needs time and money spent on it. There are some reasons i want to keep it but would seriously consider selling it if i got a good offer.
I'm away for work until Oct, but you can come have a look then if you dont find anything before then.
Feel free to send us a PM with questions and i'll see if i can get the Mrs to grab some photos.

Thanks for the reply mate, appreciate it. We're looking for something that is pretty much ready to go, not quite so much of a project.

How much do you have to spend? Do you want just a track hack or a fully fledged properly built competition car that can be used fro anything from track to tarmac rally (targa)?

(I'm the other half of the equation from FFOUR's post).

The former mostly, not looking to drop $20k on a fully-fledged targa ready car. Looking for a fun, reliable track day car.

That said, if there's a targa car at a reasonable price then we're still happy to consider it.

As above...you really should consider this... http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/sale-car...-ra-ej207.html

It would be fun to finish it off to your specs....

We ended up buying an MY05 STI, so no longer looking.

Hurtenstein's car does look great, just not quite what we were looking for though. I'm sure he'll move it pretty easily!

Ha, MY05 STI is killer! Hard to spot them - they don't seem to come up for sale too often.

Couple on Carsales/Gumtree but they're circa $25k and I think you were looking to spend less?

We got it at a great price (well under $20K) and before it was advertised (word of mouth), so very happy. Picking it up tonight.
