Awesome response from members pm'ing and contacting me about
getting a set at the special price.

I now only have x2 sets of Black CF and x1 set of Silver CF
both for the GC's left in stock.

So get in quick before they're all gone as restocking will be in
2-3weeks time and the price will be back to normal but the
normal price is still priced extremely low for PWRX members.

SO GET YOUR STRUT ON! :D

I picked up two sets at the CV meeting point and they were really easy to fit. One tip - the bump rubbers which support the bonnet halfway along have to be removed (on a GC8, at least) because the struts go right through the same area. However, you can turn the bump rubber holders around and fit them on the opposite side facing forwards instead of towards the windscreen. I just tested it and the bonnet still closes perfectly.

I had to work on my wife's car yesterday, removing the intercooler to fit a new silicone Y-pipe, throttle body connector and BOV return hose. The job was so much easier with the bonnet stay out of the way. I'm 6'2" with long arms and I'm forever hitting the stay with my elbows so it's a relief knowing the bonnet's not going to come crashing down on my head.

Thanks for posting pics guys (Guy and Gal) I'm really glad you're happy
with them.

Jess the silver ones look HAWT against the Blue! :D

Oh and Sayers thanks for the little tip with the rubber bump stops.

*I've decided to extend the special for another 2 weeks until the 26th
for those who were keen at the cruise but forgot because they were
having too much fun, so if you're keen for a set of Black or Silver CF GC
ones let me know as I only have a few left until re-stocking.

*Also those who wanted the GD ones before I ran out, please let me know
which colour you wanted as I'm just about to do a re-stock.

The Silver CF GC ones are gone so now only x2 sets in Black CF left for GC's.

If you're heading to Collie and want a set let me know and I'll bring
them along or if you want a set this weekend I'll be back for Sunday
and can meet up and install them then.

Wayne, can you get these that open the bonnet vertically?

JDM_STYLE 16-09-2010 09:50 AM

Not currently Jamie however I believe Dougie has done some slight
modifications and has made them do so on his. (was working on it
the last week or earlier)

Corrie does the normal steel ones though so if you're wanting vertical
ones he's your man but you can always look at Dougies and go from
there.

JDM_STYLE 20-09-2010 05:39 PM

Re-stocking is happening next week sometime so I will have the
following available:

GDB: x7 BLACK CF and x3 SILVER CF.

GC8: x7 BLACK CF and x3 SILVER CF.

My costs to have them made and delivered have gone up but I
will still be sticking to the original pricing of $95 for forum supporters
and $110 for general members.

However the current special of $10 off is still valid until this Sunday
the 26th and I have x2 BLACK CF for GC8's left.

Those who have contacted me about getting a set when new stock is
in, your sets have been put aside with your name on them so don't
worry you will get them asap.

GTB Liberty 20-09-2010 06:11 PM

*Awaiting the "GTB Liberty" custom struts* :poke:

LOL

JDM_STYLE 20-09-2010 07:19 PM

I'm still waiting on them to produce a smaller height swivel ball
for Liberty applications, unless your doing a backyard dodge
bracket or swivels it will take a little time but I'm definately onto
them for you. :D
