Define decent?

I'm talking circa half a litre in this instance (quick 15 min run around the block with a some boost) to overflow from "normal levels", which gets pulled back into the motor during cooldown it seems, and returns back to the normal level. Taking into account total capacity with a bigger radiator of approx ~8 litres.

Concern would be how much would it continue to dump into the o/flow given some abuse on the track, which would be indicative of a bigger issue, which is what I suppose I will find out in due course one way or another.

my feeling is that that ain't normal. quick 15 min round the block with some boost shouldn't be pushing half a litre of coolant into the overflow. 5 laps of barbs maybe, but not 15 mins round the block.

Just an update on this. All is well - I think it was just the cooling system sorting itself out after the flush recently. Done a few K's this week and no issues.

Been monitoring the overflow bottle, has stayed consistent, no temperature or performance issues.

This EJ lives on!

Tiny non performance rice mod. But came out alright? Quite ricey, but not too bad I think. Have been progressively getting heat/burn marks on the rear bar above the exhaust. Not sure as to why? Looks kinda cool and came out OK I guess.

Not real CF, plastic dipped I guess. From HT Auto's in the UK.

Got the OE WRX engine mounts out today. They were both farked. LHS was old and crappy, and the mounts were very soft, way past their used by date.

RHS was torn and fell apart when it came out. Platinum's slipped the Group N's in and did a service.

As soon as I got back in and started the motor I could tell immediately the difference! Hard to explain, but the engine wobble and associated slack is gone entirely. On and off throttle feels 100% better too.

NVH is very marginal from this change, but not tried that with the rotational idle running yet, which i suspect would be quite full on as it was so with the broken mounts (that probably helped to break them)

Highly recommended.

Vibration is one thing. Wait until you take a corner! Did you do gearbox mount as well?

Gearbox was done already. Tried it with the rotational idle today, the new mounts hold it together so much better than the flogged out ones. All going well.

Next on list:

- Tyres after summer, or a few more track days. (Looking at something streetable), Federal RS-RR's on the cheap or ad08rs if I feel rich at the time. Anyone tried the new Federals yet, pictured below.

- Clutch, low priority (Comp Clutch)

- Maybe an engine build into 2016 to get up to 300-320hp and re-fresh the heart of it all.
