Yeah I wanna but it's just so inconvenient for me in terms of re-filling. I don't really want to have to stock jerry cans of the shit.

Plus I need injectors and a pump.
Plus i'm still running the stock EJ205 bottom end if that means much.

But yes for all the other shit.

Also, any benefit on running the knock board? Hard to use/tune anything like that. Hoping ASG can get me up and running pretty easily with this. Done as much research as I can with these ECU's. Knock Board was an addtional $600 back in "the day".

Cool, so had all most of the hard labour completed at Platinum Automotives over the last 2 days.

Turns out the stock up pipe on the late model bugeye's (Oct 01) doesn't have a cat in the up-pipe. I replaced it anyway since I had purchased the new Grimmspeed one pictured below. Wrapped it on top of the ceramic coat it had.

The car was also suffering from the "fuel smell" in cold weather, which meant manifold off for all the fuel lines to be replaced. So this was done and painted at the same time!

We noticed that the power steering pump was on its way out too, so we attempted to replace but could not get it in time, so my old one went back in for now until it arrives.

I mentioned my clutch has been really really really shit lately on multiple levels. Took a gamble and chose not to drop the gearbox and inspect, and that seems to have paid off. I picked up a replacement clutch pedal assembly, and had it changed out.

That has entirely fixed the issue, and my clutch is now awesome, and feels sooo much easier to engage, let alone the horrible squeaking noise it made every time you put the clutch pedal in and out.

As it stands now, it's sitting at All Star with the Autronic SM4 going in as well as the new model Tuspeed EBCS. ALS, RI & LC all going on and being tuned based on MAP.

Doubt it will make much more power than it does currently, but we will see.

Cheers

Manifold turned out mint. I'm sure you will pick up a small increase with the tune.

Till it had to pulled it off again

My fault, I broke my own law of do it once do it right. I should have done the TGV's while it was off the first time. They have caused some issues while being tuned. One of the sides was closing when it shouldn't have been, so it's off again so they can be removed entirely. So add a TGV delete to the list of mods.

Credit to ASG.

I'm told it's back on the dyno now after putting it all back together (again), minus the stock TGV's. Fingers crossed it's all good.

Keen to get back in with the Autronic.

Picked up today.

Very noticeable difference to drive with the Autronic. Feels a lot quicker, boost comes on a lot harder than before, and feels like I've got more down low too. Quite punchy. Think the new Tuspeed EBCS is helping there.

Antilag and rotational idle is epic. No boost drop between gears, feels quick. Gave it a test (couldn't help myself) and yeah it definitely turns heads. Getting used to how the rotational idle kicks in afterwards, but it all sounds tough.

Dropped 20hp allegedly on the "software update", that ASG did on their dyno which is a shame, would have been nice to have a direct comparison, but alas my Verso which was done previously was many years ago. It made 260hp a few years back.

I'm happy with where this is at now as a daily, reliable, modest street car that's fun to drive. If E85 becomes more readily available, I will jump to that which would be a nice, easy next level again.

Cheers

How is the anti-lag and rotational idle activated and de-activated with the Autronic?

Flip a switch in the cabin which enables the whole system. Push past 4k RPM and you'll know about antilag. At the same time the rotational idle becomes active when you begin to idle again after using the antilag, and stays on for a few minutes when idling after using it.

Flip the switch back and peace is restored. Drive as if none of those features existed.

The Autronic manages the whole lot basically.

Interested to see how your fuel economy goes Rich...mine went out the window after fitting and tuning the Autronics (had Antilag & Rotational idle enabled) but that was in a GC8 with VF22 FMIC etc...On a good week i'd get 350kms.....but it was a lot of FUN!
