Figured new car, may as well do a new thread...

As some know my bug was written off late last year.

This was replaced by a fairly clean late 05 STI - DCCD and 5x114.3

Swapping all the goods across, then flex fuel on the G4+ ECU.

See below for progress

The good;
-92000 kms
-mint interior
-very well looked after exterior/paint
-minor work done
-perfect platform for me to build on

The bad;
-It's black and it doesn't live in a fully enclosed garage

Luckily I live with a gentleman who specializes in keeping cars clean.

Mods are currently minor - Inlet, 3" X-Force TBE, Hot Air intake, obnoxious BOV, Full Chargespeed kit and a rather laggy tune for a VF35.

My plans consist of essentially swapping all my old goodies onto the car, new rather serious fuel setup, head-studs and get it on a dyno.

Car will be treated to;

-PW FMIC (blacked out cooler and piping)
-PW 72mm Cold Air
-Perrin Inlet and SFB
-Blouch back on
-Headers back on
-Raceworks Surge Setup - single 460 in tank and 1 in the surge
-Fuel Rails and FPR
-ID1500's or bigger
-Braided Teflon front to back
-ARP 11mm Headstuds
-Powered by corn

Aiming for more stealth this time round - blacked out engine bay, sensible height and wheel fitment with close to 400 WHP.

Chargespeed kit - side skirts and rear spats will be coming off, as will the daft wheel spacers currently fitted.

Will be on the hunt for some nice Jap wheels, the world of 5x114.3 is great for such a plan.

REVNURAZR plates will be going to keep with this theme (finally got tired of a target on my back and matured a bit)

Here are some lousy pics, will snap some more when I get home after it's had a fresh detail and the headlights have been corrected...

Installed the Koyo today as I was bored, black hoses are on order, the old ones were in poor condition so they were turfed.

Few updates;

Parts at home awaiting fitment;

Blouch 1.5XTR 8cm
PSR UEL headers + up-pipe
PW FMIC w/ black core and piping
PW 72mm CAI
Perrin Inlet + SFB
Link G4 running the show

Last of the fuel system on the way, this now consists of;

ID1300x
Radium Engineering Fuel Rails
Turbosmart FPR1200
Walbro 460 in tank
Raceworks 2.8L Surge with 2 x 460's (second pump boost switched via Hobbs)
-6 PTFE feed and return

Will be doing most of the installation myself with some assistance for fueling, then towed to Justin @ BYE for a tuna.

Should see some decent figures with plenty of fuel and airflow. Will be running dedicated e85 (fingers crossed they keep a supply here)

Few other bits;

12 pin Deutsch used for going through the firewall for gauges - easy to remove if engine has to come out..

V1 and gauges installed;

Subtle solutions gauge bezel awaiting paint and holes for my EGT gauge and billet automotive switches;

KAP Industries bracket fitted, very pleased, perfect fitment thanks Russ;

Made a start on the sound system;

Pioneer AVH-X5800DAB
Apline PDX-5
Focal PSF165F up front
12AWG speaker cable
Boston Dynamics 12"sub

Amp mounted under passenger seat - blue carpet will be removed, not a very good match unfortunately;

Hobbs switch for 3rd fuel pump;

Will be fitting the parts in the next few weeks, stay tuned for updates and results

And some more progress as of late;

Ditched the Chargespeed skirts and rear pods

Found some very saucy Japanese goodness -

Work CR Kiwami in AHG Bronze
18 x 9.5 +38

Wrapped in RE003 Potenzas - 265 x 35 x 18

They were bought with the lettering and they are very well attached to the tyre.

Wasn't a fan of them at first, but they have grown on me..

Got the Defi's wired up and fitted to the A pillar and in the Subtle Solutions bezel.

DAMD wheel fitted

Billet Automotive Switches fitted although not wired into ECU yet.

Enjoy

Nice work mate. I think the two 460L pumps in the surge is overkill for the turbo and power you will make.

I run a DW300 as a lift and a 460 in the surge with the same turbo you have on a 257 with e85.

No lack of fuel with my set up even at the track.

Absolutely agree.

Huge overkill for the current setup.

Just future proofing for down the track.

If this 207 goes dok, I'll be building and installing something north of 500 WHP

Default Update

Been a while, not even sure there is many people on here these days

Lot of progress has been made, everything installed and tuned to suit.

Mod List as follows;

Engine;

Blouch 1.5XTR 8cm w/ Turbosmart IWG75
Process West TMIC
Perrin 2.4" Turbo Inlet
Process West "Big MAF" 72mm CAI
Tomeii Expreme UEL Headers + Up-Pipe
Grimmspeed 3 Port BCS
Invidia N1 Resonated TBE
OEM Bypass Valve w/ Grubscrew Mod

Fueling;

Walbro 460 Lift Pump
Raceworks 2.8L Surge w/ 2 x Walbro 460's (2nd boost switched)
Injector Dynamics ID1300
Radium Fuel Rails
Raceworks 200 Series AN6 Braided Parallel Setup from Firewall Onwards
Turbosmart FPR1200
Custom Boot mounted relay panel for pump control

Car is tuned on Flex and making 265kw on e85, 210kw on 98

Had the headlights subtly improved with a quality HID kit and lenses - maintaining oem appearance with excellent light output.

Not a huge amount more planned;

- Get the audio install finished - custom spare tyre well enclosure for the sub
- New Coilovers - MCA's
- Get the Autowatch 446RLi Premium fitted
- Paint the gauge Bezel and re-do the switch layout
- Possibly look at the 7cm housing for the turbo - better street manners on 98
- New plates - bit more subtle this time round

Here are some updated pics after the paint correction and Optix glass coating was carried out by Westcar Detailling.

Awesome work car looks amazing. Flex fuel is the way to go it's well worth the effort.
