Car has since had a 22mm front swaybar and HD links. Looking a the next round of stuff. Been very tempted by e85 and fuel system upgrades, but think I am holding off for now to see if it (ever) becomes feasible now that United have seemingly stopped building new service stations.

I did Email BP to see if they would ever do a retail ethanol blend, and the answer was:

Dear Sir

Thank you for your enquiry about BP selling E85, currently we have no plans to enter this market. It does not meet our requirements for a performance fuel due to its low energy content when compared to hydrocarbon fuels which means it tends to have specialist application to flex fuel vehicles or modified racing vehicles. Overall demand for E85 is low.

So anyway, to throw some more money into the pit, I have noticed since doing some track days the heat from turbo area without a heat shield was pretty epic and the I/C was just getting hammered.

All this shit should sort it out pretty good.

Perrin Turbo Heatshield, Blanket & Downpipe Blanket:

Perrin Pitch Stopper (I think mine is farked and contributing to other problems)

Mishimoto X-Line Radiator & Hoses

HEL Braided Clutch Line & Bleed

Gonna drop the oil in the gearbox as i'm not sure if it's been changed since it went in. 75W-90 the go for 6 speeds?? Was just going to put some Penrite Pro Gear in, 4.7litres worth i believe is the right number.

Took off the r-comps which I was daily'ing on too which was probably a good idea heading into wetter weather and driving around on this shit.

Sorry uleh, not this time around.

Updates:

Went into a corner, had no brakes. Braided line to the front calipers had been rubbing against the inner side of the rim. Eventually punctured it and yeah, could have been nasty.

Easy fix thankfully. Ensure you're braided lines are well secured.

Next Mods:

Mishimoto X-Line 3 way
Mishimoto Silicone Hoses
Perrin Pitch Mount Stopper
Perrin Turbo Beanie
Perrin Downpipe Blanket
Perrin Turbo Heatshield
Oil, Filters and Fluids

Idea here is increasing cooling capacity, reducing heatsoak to the TMIC. I would say I should have very minimal to no heatsoak after the beanie, downpipe blanket and shield is on.

How did you go for clearance with the hoses, and did you use the supplied radiator cap and your OEM on on the header tank with no issues?

The hoses were all fine for clearance, perfect line up. Yeah no issues with the radiator caps what's so ever!

I've got the mishimoto 3 core with the rad cap on the radiator plus the header tank.. But the one supplied cap is a straight fit to the header tank.
an have noticed the temp gauge sits a little lower than normal so another win!

Only downside is you may want to get a radiator shroud.. it gets crazy hot after driving!
