Yeah mate, VF34s are ball bearing.
As Luke said you'll want to pair it with a P20 exhaust housing, otherwise it will be a bit on the small side. My old setup made 284hp and 410nm with full boost at ~3,300rpm. So it had some punch and was very responsive, making it an awesome choice for the street IMO. |

Nothing wrong with the VF-34 for bang for buck. Even with the old tech, it's still a kick arse snail for both 2 and 2.5 street cars.

A VF34 would probably flow similar to a VF48/52.
My MY08 laid down 299hp and 450Nm on the stock snail and internals. |
