Having driven it this morning ... Still trying to wipe the smile off my face.
Haters can hate ... It's simply inspiring

228 kw 440 nm on 1.4 bar, full boost at 4200
plenty more there too but the car needs to get the rest of the butler TBE installed before we turn up the wick further edit: comparing dyno runs is not so simple...Adrian (PCXT) has MSR tune using a mainline dyno and the power runs are done in 4th gear on a 6 speed...

The Racewars 2013 event was simply epic. I am still grinning from ear to ear even now. I was fortunate enough to have been able to share the weekend with a great bunch of people from Perth-WRX as well as the general racing community with teams like the Wyldcat Racing Team (Corvette C6 Z06), and of course all them members of Anti Lag. I can hardly wait for next year to come around to participate in the event again. The event itself was run over two days and while there were some teething issues it went off remarkably well for an inaguaral event. The Saturday morning session was 4 hours of head to head racing using rolling starts and run over 400 metres (un-timed). I managed to get 12 runs in during the session and had a ball. The only issues I had with the car was an annoying rear O2 sensor CEL that kept coming up and required me to reset the ecu on a few occasions. The other issues for me were the long lines waiting for runs meant my under bonnet temps were very high (need better cooling) and not ideal for making great power. The dust blowing around the place also meant my air filter needed cleaning several times over the weekend. The afternoon session on Saturday was meant to be standing start head to hear racing over 400 metres followed by rolling 800 metre runs. The problem was the line for standard entrants was very very long and the line for VIP entrants was very short. As a result I never actually got in a 400 metre standing start run (timed or otherwise) and I only got two rolling 800 metre runs on Saturday before the close of racing (bummer). The first run I got over 800 metres saw me push to 208 km/h before reaching the rev limiter. The second run saw me have a CEL thrown half way down the track and caused me to let up on the throttle for fear of damaging the engine. Still a great day and so much action involving an amazing range of cars. Saturday night festivities at the Travellers Park with the OzFoz , Perth-WRX and Wyldcat Racing team involved a large bonfire and bbq along with a fair amount of beer. Following this we moved over to the bowling club to check out the concert (with Andrew the sound engineer) and sink more beers. By the time I got to bed it was nearly 2am. I was in no condition to race on Sunday and really neither was the Forester so we just spectated which started pretty dramatically with the roller of the Yellow GTO. This accident certainly had a profound effect on all of the racers and spectators I can tell you. We got to witness the RFD plane fly in and pick up the injured driver (who is recovering in hospital now). I learned plenty from the weekend including tmic is not good for this sort of event and rolling starts mean the AWD Subaru’s lose any advantage they may have had at the start. Next year I will have the cooling issue sorted, an upgraded butler TBE, possibly an after markert ecu and I will be entering as a VIP rather than standard entrant.
