Just got it back today. Felt very weird at first and definitly took a while to get used to.

I was used to hitting boost at 2.5k rpm and without booting it felt a bit sluggish. So I took it out for a good run and felt amazing. Once you get a bit of heat going, it just pulls like a freight train.

quite often I could barely floor it without fear of it getting nasty or hitting the speed limit too quickly.

Keeps pulling all the way to redline as well.

I did start getting a bit of flutter. Not sure if it was compressor surge or just the wastegates opening? usualy around 4k rpm sounded much like the bov opening and closing very fast. You would get a sort of fluttering sound. psh psh psh psh. Worth getting looked at or normal?

I get that noise to. Its just that the turbo is building way more boost than the car can use. So it vents it off with the wastegate. It usually only happens in higherish gears and full load.

Nice and smooth graph, when are you going to take it to the Plex to see what it will do ?

ahh O.K. good to hear. So its not compressor surge and nothing to worry about? Just the flutter of it threw me off. Made me a bit hesitant to give it full throttle.

Will be down there next time I'm home. 10th movember by the looks of it.

Got a couple of things on my mind still. I just worked out that the stock heat shield does not fit twin scrolls, at least thats the impression im under. So best to look for a twinscroll heat shield or just find a turbo beanie? I also have the heat wrapping leftover from the FMIC kit to wrap the dump pipe. Might have to give that a go when I get home.

Also, when I ordered the front mount, kev assured me there is no need to relocate the windscreen washer bottle with the kit. However it has been removed and was the first thing I noticed as I tried to wash a bit of dust from the windscreen.

Anyone else had to remove theirs? or should it just bolt straight back in?

I got myself a few goodies from ultrex and had Neil at unique auto refinishers fix up a few scratches and dings as well as colour coding the rear spats/ reverse scoop.

Been trying to get some nice pics but it ust keeps raining.

here's some wet pics anyhow.

I'm still a bit undecided on the reverse scoop. It's easy enough to switch over anyhow.

Before you all start on me, I have already ordered a set of KW V3 coilovers from wheels world and it will be getting dumped shortly

That last pic: it looks really clean. Stealth FMIC FTW.
Regardless of how the reverse scoop looks, it's good to see someone doing it all properly.
