So here I am sitting in Thailand chilling with an ice cold Singha.... figured I might as well update this thread a little.....

I had the car back in my possesion for all of 24 hrs before I flew out here.....doh!!
Steve has taken good care of the car for nearly 2 years. The new doors and guards I fitted are still straight and clean - even though it has done 22,000km - kudos for taking care of her!

The good: Mechanically the car is still solid - the motor is spot on, as is the box, brakes and diff. It still goes like stink - albeit with a max of 1.3bar....everything under the bonnet is exactly how I left it - with the exception of a new ally radiator.

The bad: Some spastic has fucked with my tune. The boost has been dropped from 1.6 bar to 1.3, the injector scaling has been changed (scaled to suit 600cc injectors, it has the 440's still) the maf curve I spent hours getting spot on has gone and timing has been pulled at peak torque....Grrrr!!
Bodywise I need to replace the front bar (old damage from the original owner), the rear bar needs a repaint too. The di-noc on the roof and scoop needs to be redone too after the qld sun shrunk it a little!

So now I have her back it's time to continue with my plans as before - tidy the body work, then perhaps look at going the E85/Td06/6 speed route.

Any ideas what messed up the tune Rossco? How long will it take to return to former glory?

that's a good result really Ross (fixed)
Big O can fix the front and rear bars easy enough but please don't put the ni-doc on again
Are you tuning it or getting someone to re-tune it ?

The tune was messed up by someone fiddling with the hand controller and not knowing what they were doing.

Hopefully Fobz still has the laptop I used to tune our cars - there is a back up of the tune that I can restore if so, otherwise I'll put it on a dyno somewhere and re-tune it from scratch again.

The timeline? I don't know - it'll depend on my funds.

To remind myself why I grin like a loon every-time I drive my car

Ya only 282hp on this graph -this is with the clutch slipping on Mao's hub dyno.

Left here for future reference

Not because I'm planning to make any changes or turbo swaps or 6 speeds or anything

The above may be

Good shit Ross. Once again it seems our two cars are getting updates at the same time.
