According to RS25 and nasioc i would have to cut and remove pieces from a gd firewall and weld them into my gc8 firewall to allow the heater core piping to fit.
This is with left hand drive american gd>rs conversions tho.
Having a skim thru rexnet for the right hand drive gd>gc conversion and not having much luck.

I've got 2 GD dashes (only one dash beam though) ready to go once the aircon/heater bit can be solved. So keen to get on board too

Havent done much lately, car has been sitting like this for a while...

In a couple of weeks the motor and 6spd should arrive

Had my rims repaired at alliance rim repairs, I thought they did a good job
Before

After

The gold is flaking off of the rims on the face and im told no-one in WA can re-coat them in gold, so I would have to send them to the eastern states.
So I'm thinking my best bet is to powdercoat the centres in black.
This is how they looked in gold.

nice, shaping up to be a real machine

I dont think those rims suit the car at all. Even after black centres IMO your car will have conflicting styles.
Know what they weigh for interests sake?

18" wheels, especially 3 piece with a 35 profile is a questionable combination on a performance car. potholes, kerbs, bricks etc will eat them for lunch and you may have to visit allianz on a regular basis

tough offset jap forged 17's would go down well if you can find them

Yeah tree branches at speed in the hills arent much fun to hit...
The rims are quite heavy.
Guessing 18s wouldnt be the best for light track work(I just wanna do a few No-Limits nights)
I have been looking for 02-04 sti rims lately but theres not too many sets around.
Not sure where to start looking for rims but I will find some eventually

I'm not a huge fan of silver cars or multi spoke rims but I like yours with those rims.....weird????

They look very good actually, maybe keep em for street rims and get some smaller 16-17 inch rims for track stuff.

For $500, and some patience, you can get some second hand light weight rims from an importer or Ebay easy enough.

The car is gonna be heaps of fun to drive regardless and I for one cant wait to see it running again.
