I have same problem with the forester

Re wiring could potentially cause all sorts of problem, e.g. Fuck it up and could set the bag off

Everything fits the only problem we ran into is the different mounting for the clock spring. I sourced bits off a 05 gx and Doug had to drill a new mounting hole, as they do not all match up. The wheel is fitted now and happy with the result 😃

Joe, we used the clockspring and wiring off the 05 to match the wheel. The cruise and airbag all plugged in. The problems were 1/ the clockspring doesn't mount to the bug-eye version column switch so we changed the white plastic part of the column switch to a 05 one. 2/ this part of the switch doesn't mount to the bug-eye steering column, this required redrilling of the top flange on the steering column. 3/ the screw holes in the bug-eye steering column shroud does not match up with the holes in the later version switchgear. Solution? we didn't solve that one, we just clipped the shoud on and hoped for the best. Possibly a 05 shroud could suit but we didn't have one to try.

Car looks great mate, saw it at Stechnic the other day. Great example of a bug.

And to think I nearly striped it to a million bits when I lost the plot. It's been a good 5 years I have owned the car

Why the 12mm oil pump? I think the 12mm oil pump may have contributed to me killing my last engine.
