This is the second one i have seen lately that MMS have tuned in 3rd

I don't get why they do it, it doesn't really represent true power figures as gearing comes into play!

But it is a large jump in torque!

thanks for putting this up, looking to do similar mods to my betty sti soon

re the 3rd/4th gear thing, i guess if you're just using it to measure your own gains and not comparing with other ppls cars it doesn't matter as long as both runs are done in the same gear? correct me if i'm wrong, i'm well aware of my noobishness and eager to learn

MMS always use 3rd for 5 speeds and 4th for 6 speeds...these are the gears which best represent road conditions for tuning purposes. (and I think Race Torque are the same). So cars dyno-ed by MMS will be roughly comparative with each other (within the bounds of day to day variation).
So in the case of this car, the before-after comparison is absolutely informative.

I inherited mine from another very generous P-WRX Member who was returning his car to stock, but usually around $1600-$1700 + Fitting I think..

Also you can't just do the exhaust, you need a tune (as I found out)..and they start at around $1190.00 for the cheaper one.
