The block in the X is new from the 7-9, but from what I've read, seems to be just as strong!

As John said, the hardest thing about mod'ing the X is the SST box being difficult to tune, and an unknown limitation for harnessing power. That being said, there are quite a few running around with 350hp+ now(although usually with a clutch upgrade kit), so it's not really a huge limitation, and it really is a blast to drive!

The FP Green/Red's seem to be the upgrade of choice for most of the X guys, and combined with supporting mods and a good tune, should net around 350 with the standard gearbox and minimal mods...

Also... TMR do a 'warranted' tune with just a modified muffler to make 270Kw(at the fly)... with everything else stock!..

I've got 18x9 wrapped in 265 r-comps on mine - they don't look small.

Congrats mate!!

Wayne - They would be perfect for an Evo 7-9, but would sit too far in on a X IMO!

Wheels... 18"s are good and depending on the style, can look excellent!

19"s are better!
