Got the side intrusion bar out, spot weld drill and a bit of persuasion sorted it, about 2kgs itself.

Tidied everything up with some more pinch edging

Re mounted

Quiet happy with the way it turned out and quiet surprised the difference in weight when swinging the stripped door compared to the drivers doors whilst on the hinges.

Easy 5kg I reckon.

I reckon I could sort one in half a day now that I know what needs to be done and take my time.

Knocked the rear passenger side out in about 3hrs this arvo
Not sure why but the door skin was blackish on the inside and had the part number for the door skin still on. Maybe it’s had a knock at some stage or just like this from factory. Bit weird..

Might have a look at the front passenger in the next week or so.

Started on the front passengers over the last couple of days and finally got it finished.
For the players at home it’s not as easy as the rear doors. There’s two intrusion bars that need to come out and also the inside door skin is double layered at the top where the window comes out so it’s a bit harder to cut out.
Two things I’ve learnt over this process is
1. the black sealer shit that they use for the plastic sheet between the door cards and the door internals is made by Satan himself, absolute shit of a job cleaning that off
2. The pinch edging stuff is fucking mint. Clark rubber is the go and it finishes the jagged edges off nicely.
I reckon there’s 4kgs in the rears and 5kg in the fronts
Still toying with the front drivers side, not sure if I want to lose the use of my window..

Does your cage have good side intrusion. Those bars are there for a reason.

All good mate, got a bar twice as thick as what those both added up to.

Better than the option of getting a fiberglass shard through your kidney.

Yeah should be getting close Nic
