Shit yeah, I blame the education system, letting kids slide further into mediocrity.

Don't bother getting locknuts, they're a pain in the arse if you swap over to track rims etc. If your car is garaged at night it's a really long shot to have rims stolen.

My car is only in a garage and sometimes just in the driveway if the missus sneaks her car in there before mine

So how did your wheel alignment go? Got plenty of negative camber I hope!

LOL shit-stirrer

UPDATE: Yesterday I picked my car up from T&R Prestige in Welshpool. A brand new replacement bumper, painted, paid for courtesy of Main Roads (go back a few pages for that story). I decided that I should perhaps get my bonnet painted at the same time to get rid of all the nasty stone chips and while looking over the car Russel said he would also do the front fenders for me as well seeing as they had their fair share of stone chips too. My old man knows the guys down there well as he puts a lot of work through to them from his work (Patrick Transport). I got three freshly painted panels for such a good price that I gave them a substantial tip. Another panel shop to put on your short-list if you need work done well.

OK, so following in the tradition of a negative-slash-drama to coincide with every fucking mod I do I have a short CSB...

Took the car to Wheels World this morning to get the new rims put on and the Yokohama S-Drives that John ordered for me. Just over an hour later Dean had them all on and boy was I chuffed. Even John commented on how nice they looked and how the nuts really set them off as well. Handed over some hard earned, bid farewell and drove home. While I was walking around my car in circles with a half-mongrel over how my shopping trolley has now been transformed for the better with the addition of rims, I noticed that the front driver's side wheel was hanging out of the guard by around 10mm. In my mind I yelled "I told you so JimmyS!!!" then I checked all the other rims and they were sitting pretty close to flush, but this one rim was sticking out. I immediately thought "fucking dud ROTA, probably got a +40 mixed in with the +44"

So I called John, asked if I could come back to get the wheel off and check the offset on the rim. No problems he said. So back I go and we figure out that it's an alignment problem. I did think the wheel looked like it had positive camber but my driveway is on a slant and I only had my wheels aligned elsewhere 4 months ago! All the other wheels have a bit of negative camber and are tucked in nicely but this renegade wheel has anywhere from 0.5-0.8 degree positive camber. Needless to say I never noticed before because the stock wheels were so far under the arches. Strangely enough, the tyres haven't chewed out. I haven't hit any potholes or curbs so I'm not sure why or how the front driver's side wheel is so far out compared to the others. Maybe the aligner needs to check their calibration on that corner

I've booked the car in for this coming Thursday at WA Suspension as unfortunately it's too difficult to get it done at Wheels World and Wilkinson with their booking times and with my job (cbf'd explaining). So I'll go in with settings I want and cross my fingers.

Anyhow, onto the positive - photos! (just phone spec for the time being)

A big, big thank you to Doug @ STechnic for letting me borrow a hoist late this arvo to put my new lip on. I felt cheeky ringing up and asking
Thanks also to Dave Christian for the extra set of hands holding the lip up while I tapped it's ass (the lip, not Dave).
