I just came back from my retune with 3GWRX Performance.

Here is what Darren discovered before the retune.

Im glad youre happy with your tune, I take a lot of time to make sure my tunes are spot on and that my customers leave happy.

In regards to the EVO tune you paid for, it depends on how far you want to take it, but Ive compared the tune that I pulled from your car when you arrived to a stock ROM and there is no difference in any of the tables I would usually change(boost, AFR's, MAF Scaling and timing were all identical). In fact, it appeared to be a stock ROM. For all the grief and aggro you will probably face trying to get a refund, it may be easier to just post your experiences on Perth WRX. Im happy to discuss this with you if you want to pursue it. "

Stock ROM????? 7 hrs of tuning and I am told it is the stock tune??

Ken,

1) Tuning of AFR was tuned at 14 AFR at idle using my HKS Knock Amp and was tuned to 11.2 at WOT. Boost was set to max at 0.95 bar as mentioned. With a bigger intercooler and more air, AFR would not have been stock!!

2) The new tune has moved the boost to 18psi or 1.22bar according to the virtual dyno.

3) Virtual dyno at 3rd gear and torque at almost 500Nm is way off and for a non-forged engine to boost at more than 1.2bar is not what I would boost the car at.

4) My power run was done in 4th gear comparing it to 3rd gear virtual dyno, might as well use an iphone app!

Below is AFR of Stock rom -- pls see. Someone has used my tune and added more boost while using virtual dyno with no knock sensing or dyno facilities, so I suppose he could fine tune the car driving at WOT at 5500rpm accurately while reading AFRs and punching in numbers accurately through logging.

Going to get some NGK spark plugs installed along with blue radiator silicone hoses to add some color in my engine bay =P

After that, I'm going to have a break on my car and continue getting more mods in Febuary.
