Default Tal's Black Peanut STi

Hey All,

Thought I would create a thread for my new rex, and update on the mods I will be doing.

Last owner's mods:

3" Xfore TBE
Verso tune
K&N panel filter
Walbro fuel pump
Upgraded injectors - not sure what type
Defi boost and oil temp gauges
Rear king springs - though looking at Coilovers
Whiteline rear sway bar
18" Work CA Kai

And a bunch of silicon piping which I have no idea what the gains are - newbie to subies

Bought it in November, and couldnt be happier.

Apart from needing new brake pads, and having a knocking sound coming from the rear - perhaps sway bar or shockie, she's in mint condition.

Getting new plates in the new year, a bit stuck on what to get.

New sound going in begining of jan, I cant stand the standard system - Blah!

After that looking at turbo upgrade.

Also got the dyno sheet a few days ago, 255hp at the hubs Cant remember the torque.

Love the look of this car.

The knocking sound in the rear is likely to be the shock absorbers. Grease dries up and it causes stiction on the inverted shaft. If its only just started you can fix it by pulling the shocks out and regreasing them with Castrol LM grease.

Lowered kings on standard shocks won't help with that knocking noise. It kills the shocks faster
