My easy answer is take the car to Stechnic who are masters of the subaru universe for my money. They introduced me to the DCCDPro controller and installed and set mine up for me. Mine works a bloody treat just like the rest of my car

disclaimer: I am not employed or compensated in any way by Stechnic but you can buy me a beer next time you see me

Back to the clutch issue, in my opinion it can't be right, maybe flywheel not machined!

I have the same clutch in mine, and I have the lightened flywheel, and mine drives great.

I have the same clutch in mine, with standard flywheel machined. It was shuddering so it was all pulled out, checked over and no problems were found, flywheel was machined again, installed again with all new bearings. Problem was still there.

They did install a new fuel pump but Mao said this would not have affected the gauge/sender, thoughts?
If they installed a new fuel pump then the have to take the fuel gauge sensor out with it. Sometimes this can be a prick to get out and they might have buggered it pulling it out. If they changed the fuel pump, now your sensor isnt working. They are 100% at fault. I would demand an explanation.

This is exactly what I told Doug, I have done at least 5 fuel pumps myself and have never had an issue!!

I really feel for the big Wookie, this whole saga needs to end
