Default StubbsR1- First WRX---05 STI

Hi to all,

A few of you might already know me as Gavin's (STI325V6) mate and I also meet a few more of you at the last rib's night, thanks again tris.

Anyway, my name is Doug, I'm a Libra and I like long walks on the beach, oh hang on wrong web site.

The short story goes, moved to WA in 2008 from Sydney for a change of lifestyle and to help out a family member.
I use to own a '04 Yamaha R1 that I would commute to work on, 55km of bendy twisty roads with HILLS, and take out to the race track at Eastern Creek and Oran Park. Suspension work, Olhins, power commander, exhaust and cosmetic work done.

This has been sold as the riding over here is not the same and the bike wasn't getting as much use, plus the wife was getting on the back with buying a house and having a little one.
So the deal went I'll sell the bike if I can get a decent car .

Have just purchased my first WRX . A white 05 sti, with no modifications at all, not even an exhaust, 156K km but it came at the right price.

Mods done yesterday, replaced the centre console plastics with the same silver colour as the previous owner had tried to clean them but had stained them with something and changed over the gear stick nob and boot all with the thanks to Gav.

Future mods with money permitting

Exhaust
CAI
Twin scroll with UEL/EL still undecided
Suspension
Rims
and NO RED MUD FLAPS

I think some red flaps would make the white just POP!

Anywho, Congrates on the new purchase.

Gav' mate well that says it all...what no red flaps ?
Welcome aboard and nice buy on the unmolested peanut. Gav will steer you in the mod direction no doubt. He holds the record for most turbo change outs on one car.

The car is a piece of shit....................not really, bargin bin price

It so happens I have a short shift kit for the 6 speed also, come to the 'dark' side Doug of spending money on mods.

You cant wipe the grin off his face!!

I reckon if his missus offered him a blow job he'd turn it down to go for a drive!!
