Is there a concern that the air filter/box is just pulling in warm air from the engine bay without the air director?

I think you find the air ram is actually back on, photo for display purposes. As per photo 10, you can see lines under it..

Yep the idea behind it is that it is fully installed without any mods. Completely invisible except for the lines.

All snokus is installed.

Ahh good good. I read "Stealth, snorkus removed." as being a permanent removal. I assumed Russ just did a shit job at measuring and had it foul on the snorkus :P

Why didn't you put the drain hose back into the sump?
The hose looks quite close to the edges of the hole you trimmed in the tray...it could wear through?

You could run it to the sump, but the position it is means the angle would be quite low. Most people dont want to drill into their sump either. Just pour what you catch back into the filler cap if you want or put clean stuff in.

Steve this is a plug and play set up so pvc and breathers have been tapped into and then returned back to the intake like a normal set up. To run a full drain back system would require a breather to atmosphere (and I think the pcv has to be deleted) hidden under the car somewhere which I'm not ready to do yet.

The oil captured on the weekend was very clean so I just tipped it straight back in.

The plastic on the under carriage tray is pretty soft but I will monitor the drain hose for wear and tear. It is heater hose too by the way so it's quite thick and durable. It's a first effort from me in terms of the plumbing so a work in progress if you will.

Return to sump is not such a good idea on a daily driver with lots of cold start and/or short trip driving. The catch cans end up catching lots of condensation.

On a car thats always allowed to get fully up to temp and also produces lots of blowby oil, then its probably a good idea. (Track car with built motor)

Plus the aforementioned plumbing it into the stock sump. Most aftermarket sumps have additional ports to plumb in stuff like turbo oil drains or catch can drains etc. My moroso sump does, but i still drain my catch cans externally by way of a little drain valve. Cars running e85 also get really funky looking fluro yellow sludge in the catch cans.
