Yep checked out all the hoses Russ. Noticed that alot of the rude work in the engine bay is due to the prospeed intake pipe. Also noticed that the main return line from the BPV is kind of crushed up under the throttle body to get it to attach to the port on the intake pipe. Yeh was going to ring Sean tomorrow about the issue. Also going to ask his opinion on the boost control setup i have, and how difficult it makes tuning for him compared to a grimmspeed.

Oh almost forgot. Russ you jinxed me. My inner wheel guard unclipped and flew off into the sunset on the drive down to busso haha. Hopefully riceman has one of his wreck.

Done alot of research on the apexi boost controller. Rang ASG and asked them afew questions aswell. Basically the controller was installed, but the rpm, speed and gear sensors wires where not installed into the ecu. Im going to hook them up and from their ill be able the tune out the over boost in 4-6 and clean up 1-3. Atm it is doing to same job the stock solenoid is doing except it cost nearly 10times as much as the stock solenoid lol. Once i get the rpm sensors and gear sensors installed ill be able to adjust the duty cycle at 500rpm intervals for each gear. When i say 'I' i mean asg on the duno as it requires multiple WOT to redline runs in each gear.

I reckon after you clean up the rude work and fix the apexi, it will be more beast on the dyno

So after a good days work. I finally got the engine bay cleaned up back to how it should look. Still havnt looked at the BPV return line yet, Le'Sigh.

Also recieved an elm327 wifi obd2 reader. Bought enginelink app on my iphone. Works a treat and confirmed that my has been hitting boost cut. Ordered a grimmspeed 3-port and im going to rip the apexi avcr out and replace it with the 3-port. The apexi is good but, but its just a headcase. I dont have enough demerits to e doing multiple WOT runs to set it up properly. Also spoke to Mao (apexi dealer) and he said it wasnt really that well suited to the sti. Anyway should make things abit easier for ASG to tune.
American Dave and RJ999 like this.
