Ok i have afew questions.

Is it normal for the intercooler sprayer to come on when you turn the key to start the car, even if the car has not been run at all and is stone cold? It doesnt do it all the time though.

I have tge stock set of sti rims which im going to use for track driving. 2 of which have potenza re070 tyres with shitloads of tread and the other 2 have brand new kumho ku31's. Until i get rich enough to put a matching set of tacky tyres on, how should i run these for track work? Potenzas on the front vs kumhos on the rear? I have the Ku31's on the daily rims and they seem to have decent grip.
Edit: all the tyres are the same width.

Personally, I'd put Kumho's on the steerer's..
Shitters on the back,..
This will "help" to point the car in the general direction you want to go...
Then control the oversteer with the load pedal..

But I like to steer from the bum dyno..

This for track activity..
Straight drag activity, put the grip on the rear..

Agree with the above sentiment, but i would have thought the ku31's are the shitters? The re070's are the good ones.

Haha watch your hand when you turn the key!!!

Reminds me of when I first got my car...read on:

I thought I had the same issue in the first month or two of owning my STI...turns out to be that the gap between where the ignition key is and the IC Spray switch isn't much at all (or we both have big hands lol)

Every time I was turning the key I was accidentally bumping the IC Spray switch too...got over it by looking at my hand while turning the key and got used to the positioning (use two fingers rather than holding the key in a full fist like hold as you normally would...you won't feel your hand bumping the switch when your knuckle hits it and will think its doing it alone)....no more IC spray when starting now as I know how to hold the key, used to it...

Will take some getting used to mate

Might have to get it checked then... I was definitely bumping the switch.

I believe its a pretty common thing, I have come accross 2 other 07 STIs that did this too. It is weird that they do it randomly though.
Even so its not really a big deal, so what if it sprays
