They are a bit on the soft side for a GD. I ran 9's and 7's on my GC8 and they were a bit too hard for that so somewhere in the middle is where aim going to look when the time comes.

Just had a look and mine were 8 and 6 not 9 and 7 on the GC8. I dare say that would be about perfect on a GD.

Now you have just mind fucked me daz. Have been tossing up between 9/7 or 8/6 and have shot an email off to fulcrum to see what they recommend between the 2. Eitherway even with my lack of experience i still think 5/4 is just to dam soft, was ok when i was just hacking around on the weekend, but now im aiming for more track time they just feel too soft.

Sorry mate not intentional lol.
I think 8 and 6 is where you need to be. 9 and 7 is where you're fillings start to rattle out

Tony I've got 9 and 7...you've been in mine... it is a little harsh sometimes on roads with potholes/uneven but I love it, easy to counter by softening the rear dampers... 9/7 pays off when you put it through it paces...your's is a garage queen with the occassional outing, not your daily, 9 and 7 will be fine! 8 and 6 will feel a bit better when on shitty roads.

Tony you're in for a treat –John Fowler will also be instructing, so he can give you very solid setup advice for suspension & tyre pressures. We also have Matty O'Neill and Michael Lloyd (my race GC8 is his old car) so I think by Friday evening you'll be well on your way...

Great combo of people to learn from!!
Rj I think your setup is stupidly hard, I would like to see some decent times from your car before you recommend setups please. Feels fast doesnt equal fast.

For all intensive purposes i think 9/7 would just tip it over the edge at being to stiff, gotta remember you planned on running super flush wheels which was one of the reasons you went so stiff so they didnt scrub. I plan on doing afew of the rally sprints and hillclimbs so im think 8/6 may be more appropriate as it leaves some compliance in my suspension and room to play with dampers.

Way to go You will not regret, just be ready with the hard left/rights when you have a heavy right foot.
