Is it done to avoid boost creep issues? Does it actually work & is it necessary?

^^^ What does that mean, it just appears to be an spec list of various stock location turbos?

I personally can't see how the VF36 wastegate outlet being ported will make much of a difference. The small rear housing means it will choke up top, not spike or creep. Plus the VF36 isn't known for poor boost control.

What you need to do is weld that little faggety internal gate shut, and instal some big external gates. (Plural)
