Default Continuation of Version6

Making this to record the continuation of Samantha aka Version6

First off I've removed most of the carbon fibre wrap, from inside the car and have tidied up some wiring.

Next I'm in the process of swapping the seats in the car ,which are 04 STI back to version 6 seats, in so I thought it would be a good time to swap the peddles I've got from was told a bugeye STI, as well as a wet vac on the carpet with a new air freshener.

I'll grab some more pictures once it's all done

Well done, I'm sure there are a lot of wrappers out there regretting their decisions, carpet looks rooted but well covered by the mat, and the MMS pedals looked shit, STI's look much better.

In fairness, those old pedal covers are geared toward lightness. Like most things MMS do.

Cool to see the car still local and being cared for by someone who loves it.

So after a couple of more hours swearing at this one bolt, that bolts the clutch peddle in place, I've customised it with the point in which it should let me be able to get it in, I didn't think it would be this hard to change peddles

And here's the finial part done just have to do up some bolts, vac and wet vac tomorrow, chase down some more parts and wait for the seats on Saturday.

In all honesty I didn't think the job was going to be a cake walk, but I didn't think it was going to be as hard as it was. Oh well done now

So after getting the pedals in, I couldn't test them to see if they needed any adjusting or not, as I only had the crate to sit on, now that I've got the car back together, I found that the brake pedal was a bit higher than what it was before, the clutch was the same as it was before and the accelerator pedal bar is a slightly different shape, and needs to be bent in two spots, I've bent the top so it was more to the old shape however, I still need to bend the bar on the pedal side of the pivot point, so that when its full throttle it rests slightly on the stop on the floor, the brake pedal has been adjusted and so has the switch for brake lights.
All in all feel very nice just needs some slight tweaking.

I've also swapped the seats from 04 STI back to 99 STI seats front and back, all seats have been wet vacuumed and the carpet has also been cleaned, the ac/heater fan has been changed as the old one was noisy, drivers seat belt has been changed to one in very good condition and some more missing screws and clips have been replaced.

There are still quite a few things I want to have a look at on the car, but for now with work starting not as much time will be free and the car needs to be able to drive.

Sooooo...
Since my last post I've been pretty busy here and there with Samantha, mostly just small things

Installed rubber floor mats

Removed old stereo and monitor for a more up to date kenwood deck, also rewired speakers and removed amp and sub

Changed out the boost gauge as it was leaking

Replaced spare wheel board and carpet

Wired in the power fold mirrors by re-pinning the harness plugs

Some more missing clips installed

Degrease engine bay and install new belts

A general clean up, though she's in need of another vac and wash

Fixed up a bit more wiring here and there

I've taken her on the rac track, where she performed pretty well... Not the same can be said about the one driving her though, had a few small issues, biggest being the blow off valve hosing coming off. She's being used more as a weekender, and for any places I need to get my arse to currently, been on a few awesome cruises and gotta say I had lots of fun on them

Currently doing a bit of fix up and upgrades here and there on her, one of which is re-sealing the wing to the boot... Only to find some rust underneath, so will be looking at fixing that pretty quick.

The other upgrades include:
Whiteline bump steer ends
Nolathane steering rack bushings
Nolathane lower arm bushings
Replacing steering rack boots

Also might look at the whiteline alk motor sport set, but I need some feed back on it before I decide.

Reason I'm doing these is because after the track day, I've done something to throw the wheel alignment out already, so thought I would do some things before getting another one done.

Still saving for a 6 speed and might have one lined up if I'm lucky (I hope so anyway)
