I definitely took all that into consideration. There was an element of comfort knowing I could get a 207 all boxed brand new but having a chat with this guy knowing how the motor was built was quite reassuring. As far as parts go, there's nothing I really needed. Since the motor is out it was a no brainer to do timing belt and the clutch. I got the spark plugs and fluids so it should all hopefully be good

so this weekend was quite eventful. this happened...

had some lads around and got this sucker out and stripped down to the block. it was a fair bit cleaner than we thought it would be. heads are off to get machined and cleaned up, and i've got a shit load of parts to clean while i wait for that. i gotta get out and buy a few other bits over the next 2 weeks or so which is to be expected but best part is there were no real complications which was nice. bit of a pain to break it off from the bell housing but good in a way i guess because the motor has never come out.
so here's a few pics to sum up the weekend. time to call it a night!

been chipping away at it slowly, but surely. waiting on a few bits (feel like i'm always waiting for stuff) but the end is in sight! gonna go out and spend the best part of the day washing the engine bay down and figuring out a way to make my fog light covers fit. naturally, they don't fit :/

not a big update but things are moving

Washed out the engine bay yesterday so she's all nice and clean now. Really hoping my engine mounts come in this week so I can get this put back together and in

Hey guys,
It's been a LONG time between updates so thought i'd jump in and share the latest.
Firstly, the car is still incomplete. I found myself in the middle of a few negative situations which got me to consider my future. My boss(es) at my job turned out to be clowns. There's other words I could use but in the spirit of censorship i'll stick with clowns. I was being mistreated there so decided to hand in my resignation and start my own business. During this time I was given an offer to do some work in the music industry, which I took on having resigned from my job. Over the last 4 weeks i've been working for this agent and as of yesterday I find out the whole this was a bit shamble. That pissed me off since I missed out on a good 4 weeks to try promote my business and get some work.

Anyway, with all that aside, I was able to get back to the car. The motor is in and there's a few bits that need to be bolted up and it will be complete. I'm hoping I can get a few extra hands this weekend to have it properly smashed out ready for a tune next week. Once that's done I'll have the new coilovers in, new tyres and it'll be ready to ready to go after nearly 12 months off the road!

Cheeky plug - I've started my own vinyl wrapping business. I will be wrapping cars but not limited to. Once the car is back on the road, I'll get that narly dent in the door fixed and have this wrapped. It almost hurts covering up such a nice colour but it's all in the name of promotion. It'll still be blue with the only difference being a black roof. Good thing about vehicle wraps is I can peel it all back once I'm done and the paint will be 100% shmicko!

Sorry for rambling... here's a pic in it's current state - taken last night. Hopefully I'll have more updates and a video of it firing up this weekend!
