ive got a foto on my phone, but cant upload it only forward it on via sms - looks to be 5 plugs.

from what i can tell, there might be 2 types of p+p ecus for the my01 - one is smc based (circuit board layout similar to gc) & the other is sm4 based.

This is definitely an SMC Andy, and IIRC V1.99 is quite new. Only a few years old, Autotune started at V1.90 I believe.

I think its a bargain for $400, if I had a use for it I wouldve bought it already.

hmm, just had an expert on the autronic forum tell me all 5 plug subaru p+p ecu's are sm4's

just replied to him, so i just dont know.

just had this reply from the expert on autronic forum (now that he's seen the pic)

"That is an SMC made up to suit a 4 plug Subaru by the look of it. It is not sutable for an 01-05 wrx."

hmmmm.

It could be a once off to suit a 5 Plug GD, there is no reason an SMC cant run a GD EJ20. Would really have to inspect it...

My advice, unless you can be 100 percent certain its right for your car.
Don't buy it.
COntact Autronic, or an Autronic agent, give them the numbers off the board, they should be able to tell you.

if you look at the pic it looks like it doesnt have wires for all the 5 plugs, so a smc modified for a 4 plug setup makes sense.
