No brembos but still upgrading

After doing a lot of research and thinking not mention the enormous amount of research done by Andrew (GTB Liberty) as well (thank you so much mate) I am skipping Brembo's. Too much cash to make it all happen (that is, a brand new set from the U.S. is the better part of $5k inc shipping...meh).
Going to just go for more aggressive pads (they are consumables along with rotors so meh).
So my options for pads (front and rear):
Ferodo DS2500 (loved these so much last time)
Project MU HC+
Endless MX-72
As far as rotors go my current 4000's are still pretty new so I'll have them skimmed and have new 4000's for the back ordered.
Also going back to AP Racing 5.1 fluid. I felt the DS2500 + AP combo worked so much better than my current A1RM + Brembo Sport Evo 500++ setup.
PS: I chucked this as a blog entry to not keep bumping my driveway thread up (not really an update so to speak).

DS2500 are a much lower grade of pad than HC+ (street vs track basically). If you are happy to put up with the squeal of track pads, I would go HC+ or Pagid Blacks. I ran the blacks on my 05 with DBA4000s on the 4 pots. Squealled like a mofo, stopped like a boss.
The DBA4000 rotor is all you need really. 5000's are cool, but a lot more pricey, so I agree on using up your 4000's.
I'd also use a cheaper DOT4 brake fluid and flush it more often.Posted 05-09-2012 at 08:15 AM by Kato -
