Back on topic.....it shits me when you stop at an accident to render assistance (which I was a witness to as well), and despite you identifying to some loud mouth trailer trash whore who also stopped, that you have first aid training, and know what you are doing, they still try and argue with you about the way you are trying to assist the injured party.

Only applies if the person is unconcious. If they are up and talking it is your choice whether to administer first aid, and you can only do so if they agree to it otherwise they can charge you will assault

Yes, that is correct, you must ask for consent prior to administering first aid.

And as crazy as it is, a good example is when a prisoner self harms and is in need of first aid, corrections officers cannot administer first aid unless the prisoner consents. Otherwise they have to wait until the individual loses consciousness and is therefore unable to consent or refuse aid.

Yeah, can relate to that with the woman near gutted after running into car other week. Boy friend drunk as a skunk trying to lift her and truckie getting thick pillow for her when she was face down. Was worth the arguement though because they left her be till ambulance arrived.
