Regarding any situation like this you must always be sensible about it. Don't do something that you will regret in the future. fighting never solves anything, and in reality just proves that fighting just gets you into more shit.

did you do anything that might provoke them? perhaps giving a gesture that they have small dicks? In response to the knife threatening thing that's just not on. Did the knife actually cut the skin? if so i would go to the police and file a report.
