Burn their house down.
Actually no, Burn their car to the ground as they have probably sold their house so they wouldn't care. |

yeah like most people agree "let the buyer beware"... If i was in your position i would head back to the owners house and kindly tell them that the machine doesn't do what you had originally said it would do and ask for a refund or even a partial refund to cut your losses short.
If all else fails, you can advertise it youself in the quokka/net etc and mention that the retail price is ____ but only certain functions work on the sewing machine. Even if you can get back $150-$200 that's good enough. I don't know if this is true or not (trying to recall of a commercial) where Janome take 2nd hand sewing machines and give you store credit. Might only apply to Janome products though... not too sure. |

problem is it took you some time to realise it didnt work.
what if the seller genuinely thought it was fine & now thinks you fucked it up somehow? also people have garage sales when they are moving & it might not even be their house even if they are still there. what you did was the same as buying a car without test driving or even staring it up, so if seller wont give your $ back i think you should just wear it. well let me help you out here thomas, I assume your name is Thomas...
it isnt! Well it is now Now Thomas the problem is you bought a sewing machine and well quite frankly thats womans work. Your not a woman are you Thomas NO!!! I didnt think you were. So Thomas that was your first mistake Second mistake Thomas was that you went to a Garage sale and expected honesty. Your not a total clutz are you Thomas, you dont seem like the type as you have a WRX and everyone knows WRX drivers are coool. I mean come on Thomas who spends $400 at a Garage sale, if they cant afford a shop front then dont trust the mutha farkers Thomas. I see some people suggesting throwing it through the window at 1am. Thomas thats just silly, cause quite frankly you should be in bed at that time of night sleeping with your wife. Why? because she SEWS Thomas, shes a homely person who loves their jam jars and country kitchens. Dont show her your angry side, sewing women dont like that Thomas. Thomas if your going to spend $400 on a sewing machine then by all means buy it from a shop where you will get some sort of gurantee then we can all sleep better at night knowing your homely wife isnt sitting at home wondering where the hell you are at 1am with a sewing machine. Ahhh Im just messing with ya and am bored at work good luck |
