Much better - Usually you get stung when you have to go and buy OE parts from $ubaru though. On many occasions the alternate workshops sometimes have the parts available from other cars which they tend to offer you at a lower price etc if you're lucky and willing to do so.

What's the going rate these days for a mechanic, $80p/h or so? I suspect there would be a significant difference in a 100,000km service @ $ubaru and then one at ASG. I think i ended up doing my 100,000 for the same price that Subaru were quoting me, but i was able to use the price gap to buy many more things to include.

Half the thing is knowing that these 'reputable' workshops will do a better job on your car than what the dealerships would typically do. I'm always willing to pay more for that anyway i reckon.

If you want to venture North, hit up ASG.. Sean and Nic know exactly what they're doing.

If you want to stay in the Southern end of Perth, hit up Doug (dtrally on this forum).

take it into ASG, you should be able to get a spot within 1-2 weeks.

I like the thought of this.

Obviously because I'm SOTR RMS would be the easiest place for me to go to, does anyone have any particular order of preference between RMS,ASG and MMS?

cheers

I've had good experiences with City Subaru... about the only WA Subaru dealer I would take my car to.

I think they're all as good as the next. The guys working at all of them know there stuff.

Personally my car only goes to RMS and i've always been happy with their work. Cheaper than Subaru, and better quality servicing and maintenance.

I've had generally good experiences with City Subaru for both the WRX and the Liberty, but STechnic is my first choice. They know more than all the collective Subaru "technicians' put together I should think.

You will get a better quality of work and a fairer price.
