I see it a lot as well. Some people are real muppets. It's 4 demerits and a $150 fine for not getting out of the way of an emergency vehicle. You'd think they would take note of the number plates, but then again they're probably too busy saving lives.

Yeah I hate this too... when I get an Ambo come up behind me, I always move thru the intersection or whatever... just flip the hazzards on and HONK like fuck and go thru, the cars behind usually get the hint, then come thru after me when they realise why I'm running a red light.

Issue is people getting fined for going through the red whilst getting out of the way of an ambulance/police/fire.

I'm a firm believer that there should be more online/newspaper/back of a bus adverts explaining how to drive, instead of the 3 billion 'speed kills' signs.

Also Fine is Generally negated if you have to adversely break the road rules to allow passage for an emergency vehicle. I had a Red light camera about 2 years ago, go flashly flash because i had to go through the intersection, Flick hazards on and use the Horn. Never saw the Fine issued.
