Clients who feel the need to ring me up 4 or 5 times a day every day for the last 4 weeks, just to complain that I’m making them collect information required for their Government reports… yes, I know it’s a pita; yes, I know that you haven’t collected it; yes, I know it’s way to much to get done before the reporting deadline; yes, I know how complicated it is; yes, I know that it’s taking too much time and resources; yes, I know about every single thing you’re complaining about, you know why? Because I’m also calculating the same report for 22 sites other than yours! Yet somehow I still don’t have the ability to make legal obligations dissapear just because you don’t want to colect the information.

Incidentally, the reason why I sent you your collection sheets in May last year was so you could see what you should have been finding out for the last 12 months, which brings me to yes, I know you didn’t even bother looking at it until 15 months after I first sent it to you.

Just got an email saying my house has reached practical completion.

However, it has been scheduled for early october all along and only 2 weeks ago I had an email saying it would be roughly 6 weeks until its finished.

Reason this pisses me off is I had booked a month anual leave to be home for all of it. I need to get home for an inspection within 5 days, organises insurance and get a payment within 10. I only just started my stint and won't be home for 12 days.

Advise them of that and state that your physical location means you cannot take possession until your return (being when you booked your annual leave / time off work). Also send a copy of the email advising 6 weeks and state that you based your work commitments around the information provided in the email.
