So true mate.

I'll quite often be sitting at my desk, with a sandwhich in hand and some dickhead will come ask for a hand or want you to look at something.

or just as annoying is when you're clearly trying to read a forum of some sort or your emails - while on your very short lunch break, someone just wants to have a chat. by the time the chats finished, so is your sandwhich and apparently your lunch break.

I just ask them if it's urgent or safety related. If not, tell them I'm obviously eating my lunch and to come back later. coupled with a very dirty look or a 'go fuck yourself' mumble usually gets the message across.

the only way around it and what i used to do and still do is go out for lunch, leave the building for the time assigned, it's the only way to avoid it. even if you brought in your lunch, go hide somewhere and eat it, lunch room? outside? somewhere other than in the office/at your desk etc.
