I live 1 street back from the beach in Scarbs.. and every single morning in the summer, without fail, its fcuking rammed full of people.

Imagine how good it would be if they actually invested some cash in the area and put more facilities there?

Plus.. it would push my house value up haha

People are not shopping with local retailers for a reason. Government (state and federal) taxes plus high wages force retailers to sell their shit at crack pipe prices.

IMO People in the oil/gas and mining industry want to spend as little time as possible in Perth full stop. If they have no family here then living in Indo or Thailand is whole lot more attractive financially and life style wise.

Tourists in general don't want to come to Perth especially once they view the prices and the standard of hotels that are on offer here. We are at the end of the world so Tourism Minister KIM HAINES wake the fuck up you muppet.

As it is developers have too much say over what gets built in this state. Local people may not be the only people who use the beach in Scarborough but they'll have to live with the ramifications once the developers fuck everything up royally re: Observation city hotel.
I remember the ad for the place when it was first opened, the hotel with Eileen Bonds personal touch......yeah, crass, bloated and sticks out like an Errol Flynn boner.

As far as Freo is concerned, I love the place but I get the hell out of there after around 10 in the evening as there's too many dickheads wandering about.
