I have been at a red light in the right lane with a fire truck coming from behind. I waited to see what he was doing before making my move (would be silly to pull in front of the car beside me incase he wanted to turn left and I just blocked his path, or if he did as most do and just go on the wrong side of the road)

He didn't use the oncoming lane, instead came right up behind me with a solid blasting of the horn, I pulled out into the middle of the intersection and to the left to let him past, as I did so a firemen stuck his head out and yelled some pleasantries about moving out of the way etc etc with some more solid honking.

so yeah, in future I'd just 'run the red' I doubt anyone would hold the charge if you contested it. I'd be more interested in what an insurance company would say if you got T boned by someone who didn't hear the sirens while doing so.

For an Ambo/Firey i would move if i REALLY had to, for the police, probably not. Who's to say the cop isn't chasing you in the red light photo, stuff like that. Don't really want to have to deal with the shit, run the risk and have to prove innocence. Plus they have patrol cars for a reason, smash it up the curb i say if you're seriously after someone.

On a new roster at the moment and there is nobody to cover my breaks for me.

>Halfway through she comes in and starts going skitz because there is nobody to unload the truck, and that I now HAVE to come off my break to unload it
>Get home to see cat has vomited and it has dried into the carpet
>Start work in 9 hours because new roster wasn't done properly so I don't have a 10hour break

Love it how I have to abide by rules until they decide I have to break them when they want help.

It's the same with all these mine sites and offshore rigs - safety is "NUMBER ONE". Right up until it impacts on production significantly then safety can f**k off and tell its story walking.

When scooters lane split and go to the front of an intersection and then struggle to make it to the speed limit (especially when going up hill)

Reducing a main road to one lane each way, and reducing the speed to 50km/hr. Are you f*cking kidding me? To make it more "pedestrian friendly"... Then what are foot paths and islands in between the lanes for? There's only a few shops on one side of the road.

Gonna be a traffic nightmare with merging involved.
