We've got a vivid gateway setup at work in Subiaco to use on night shift, bring in our own PCs and shit for unlimited Internets @ 10mbit speeds. Has never faulted us once in the 12+ months we've had it here.

I couldn't get a VodaFail signal in Mullaloo for the life of me, so I borrowed young blokes mates Vivid and it was perfect, couldn't believe the strength of the signal, the map they provide for bad areas is pretty accurate.

I remember being jealous of my inlaws when I first signed with vivid and I was having bandwidth issues.
I tried all the ISP's and they all said to expect 2-3Mbps. I'm right on the corner of Hodges ave and Marmion and at the very extreme edge of the coverage from my exchange :-( sucks.

Good to know guys. Vivid is a last resort.
My problems are being caused by a block which originally in Telstra's book was a single dwelling, is now a subdevided block with two properties which has confused them in regards to which copper pair to run the DSL across.

Just don't jump onto the vividwireless' support forum. ALOT of negative information and feedback on there.

I had alot of problems with vivid at the start but now have suitable internet (3Mb/s - 10Mb/s download speeds).

Yeah torrents are deliberately slowed by Vivid, personally I'd switch over to using nzb's as they are lightning quick (downloading now and getting 11Mbps from Wangara).

https://clearlydrunk.com and https://surfwecan.com are your friend(s).

11hr edit: Just did a speedtest on the vivid connection at work tops out at 1300k/s on Usenet.
