I didn't want an innocent motorist to get hurt....the way he was driving yesterday, cut me off twice within 200m and was cutting off heaps of other drivers......generally putting everyone in the surrounding area at risk.

I was just a bit pissed off when someone almost sideswipes me on the freeway with no care at all!

Perth is full of tool drivers - A massive push on driver education and policing of everything bar speeding needs to be implemented or it will get worse.

The fact that idiots don't understand that tailgating and braking kills road system efficiency, that "keep left" isn't optional, indicators are to advise other PRECEEDING your lane change / turn and merging isn't a race all contribute to our woeful drivers and their pathetic attitudes.

That shouldn't be an issue. And actually brings up something I've been wondering ever since I moved here.

At home the rule for turning into multi-lane roads is that you always turn into the nearest drivable lane. That means, in most cases, you can have people turning into a street from both sides of an intersection, or people doing u-turns, without getting in other peoples way.

Is the rule the same here?

Often I've been waiting to turn right onto a multi lane street at the same time as people turning left into that street from the other side of the intersection and had to wait for them all to finish as they're all turning into the lane that is farthest from them. If we both turn into the nearest lane to us we could all go at the same time.
