People who ask you for a good workshop you've used previously and you tell them....next thing "ah it's a bit out of my way"
FFS I personally don't give a shit if it's 100 kms away from my house, I'll still go because I know I will get looked after and I have previously had nothing but good experience.

Fair enough if you want a oil and filter change, just use your local mechanic but when it comes to the tuning side you would want someone who does it day in day out regardless.
I was towing my little corolla to Mandurah (Metalcraft) to get things done because I knew the work was going to be top notch and didn't care to travel 90 kms.

All the people who drove past my wife who was lying on the side of the road having a epileptic seizure this evening. Thanks to the people who did eventually stop and looked after her and our dog until she came to.

Mentality of some people annoys me so much! If they did stop they would just record it on their phone and be no use anyways!

It would be of been disappointing vision. I'm just glad she or the dog weren't hit by a car.

Hehehe, I was on Clexane until yesterday, must be the 5th time I've been on them fucking needles this year cause you can't be on Warferin when having an op which I had yesterday ....... fucking blocked arteries. I rub ice on my gut just before I inject, seems to ease the pain before and after.

6th op this year & 9th time in hospital since Feb including a minor heart attack in Thailand in Jan which I didn't know about, just knew something was wrong with me, guess that's what you get after a night of drunken debauchery, DVT in my r leg in Feb (worst pain in my life and so lucky I was in Charlies emergency for something else when it developed) camera up my dick another through my heart, carotid artery opened up from ear to throat to clean out the muck, two minor strokes but they were quite funny and yesterday a baloon in what's left of my right leg artery and 13 small veins blocked off, at least I can walk more than 100m before my calf locks up now, on Wed I had to stop twice walking between Subi stn & St Johns, today I made it back to the stn without stopping, just a bit of pain in the calf from lack of oxygen.............Don't smoke!!!!!!:(

9th op on my right leg artery in 2yrs, HBF must fucking hate me at about 20g a time.

Leederville camera house.....Almost scammed me out of $1k!

My 16 month old Canon 60D cooked it's Dc/Dc power and main boards.....I asked them to send the camera body to Canon Australia - The quote came back at $995 to repair!!

The parts needed cost a total of $255 - which means someone was trying to make $740 on the labour! What a fucking RIP!

Here's the catch - Leederville Camera's sent it to a local repairer not Canon's Australian agent as per my request...... Not happy at all!

I emailed Canon (with the serial number) and they confirmed that they have not seen my camera body. They added that as I purchased my camera just 30 days prior to them changing their warranty period from 12 to 24 months on all DSLR's that they will cover the the repair under warranty.......

Not cool at all Leederville Camera's.......

mARC 13-12-2013 11:16 AM

^

Send e-mail to said camera house stating facts ensuring there is an incentive to reply, await reply, post for lulz?

teejay 13-12-2013 11:17 AM

Wow that is pretty shitty service from a place normally known as doing quite well by customers.

Rossco 13-12-2013 11:48 AM

I've spent around $5-8K with them over the last 3-4 years, this is the first time I've needed a repair done, I am very disappointed.

I guess not everyone does a little research before committing to a repair that's been quoted.

The Dc/dc board failure my camera suffered isn't caused by user error - it's a weak point in Canon cameras.

teejay 13-12-2013 12:04 PM

Print off that email and walk in the door Rossco - fuck having that out over an email.

Ask for a manager too.

Sorry TJ but I disagree here. Everything needs to be documented, especially as Canon have stated that they will do the repairs under warranty.

I was just at the cricket today and an old lady fell over in front of hundreds of people. I lept out of my seat and helped her out, stayed with her for a while. No one else moved? Bit wierd.

^LOL That's how I felt, was really pissed off.

I've calmed down a bit now though, it's left a small white mark on my bumper thanks to the number plate copping it so no serious harm done. I'll get it and a few other little bits touched up early next year.
